Granville NY- Airport

Picture taken in 1999Neal and Josephine Hulett rented a piece of property on what used to be called the old Jenkins Farm. With the addition of several buildings and hangers that Hulett and his crew designed and built themselves, the property became the Granville Airport On April 2, 1947.

The original airport had about 500 feet of runway.

Of All the many businesses and attractions that Granville has to offer, perhaps the most unusual for a community of this size is the Granville Airport.

Today the airport boasts 2,500 feet of runway, which gets plowed in the winter, so they can stay open year round, and is the home base of over 30 airplanes.

Granville has seen air traffic come and go off its runway for local fliers or those just passing through, for many years.
